summer please hurry and get here!

while walking out in the bitter cold today, i was totally hating life!! all i could think about was how happy i would be in a few months when the temperature would finally rise above 40 degrees.... SUMMER!  i can hardly wait for the summer months, they are just not coming soon enough!  But aside from the beautiful weather that we get on the western side of the state, i miss all the memories that i have from the past few summers.  here are some of my favorites:

i am so excited to make so many more wonderful memories this summer!!! i can hardly wait!!

failure

my heavens...i can't cook!  my parents were out of town for a few days and i decided that i would surprise them and my brothers who were at school all day long! i started to make some reese's cookies that i thought would be  pretty simple to make. i felt so good because i thought for once i was doing pretty well... boy was i wrong!  the cookies came out and they tasted terrible!!!  i was racking my brain trying to think of how i could have possibly screwed up and then i realized....i forgot the sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JC and i have already discussed how we can practice cooking this summer because i am going to definitely need it!

my best friend this weekend...

this weekend.  it just makes me want to cry thinking about it!  it has been a rough one but hey, i'm over halfway through it right?  other than my human friends that have helped me through all my troubles (the ones that listened to me bawl on the phone and sent me many texts just to see if i was ok) there has been a great friend who has been with me through it all..................................

m y d o m e s t i c d a y ! ! !

i am not domestic in the very least but just the other day i was on a roll!  i cleaned house, helped cook and to really "add the icing to the cupcakes" :0) i decorated a dozen cowboy cupcakes for Ry's blue and gold banquet!  they turned out super cute!  

as with every scouting activity, either the mother of the scout (or the sister in this case) ends up doing all the work!  Ry did make one mustache out of a tootsie roll for one of the cowboys and he acted like that was asking a lot!  he's is definitely a boy!
