checkin' people out

i am so lucky.  at my job at the eye doctors office, i get to check people out all day long!!! haha just kidding, i just get to take their $ and print out their prescriptions  :)  i really do love my job, most of the time :)
recently, i have been a little snippy with patients i feel like.  i really do not do it intentionally, but i feel that my patience is growing thin.  it has been mainly just these past 3 days but i feel like every overly sarcastic or pushy patient has come in to see us.  haha it is really not that bad because i usually see the patient for an hour maximum  but i gotta stay calm, cool and collected before i hurt somebody's feelings :)

But straying away from the negative.... here are some of the things i LOVE about my job:

-I love helping people pick out glasses!  (it actually isn't part of my job but people will ask me my opinion on glasses they pick out and i think it's so fun!  i have always wanted to be a personal shopper)

-I love when little kids come in for their eye appointments! (kids are my favorite and i love when they try to cheat and stuff on their reading tests)

-I love when people i know come in!  it is so fun to see a familiar face in the office... :)

-I love when the elderly come in and they are in a good mood :) haha this goes for everybody but I have encountered so many sweet people who just need to see!  i love them

-I love my coworkers :) Britany, Danielle, Shannon, the doctors.... they are all great :)

-I used to HATE taking readings off of glasses to get the prescriptions but now i love it!  it's really a random thing to love but i think it's interesting how they make glasses... i love finding progressive readings now that i know how!

I have to admit, i'm kinda sad that i'm leaving for the summer semester because i will miss my coworkers but i can't wait to be up at school!  I just love helping people see, one day at a time :)

checkers

my little sister alli is here for her spring break and even after being sick for a couple of days and not seeing much of her because of a busy work schedule we have had so much fun!  i swear, alli is one of the funniest people i have ever met and she is always a blast!  i'm so happy that she's here with me for one more week!

right before al came up we were skyping each other and she challenged me to a game of checkers and i told her to be prepared to get smoked.  after i dominated she exclaimed "this game is racist!"  this totally random statement is so alli and she spouts out things like this all the time!  i love her!

i definitely think her breaks from school are far too short but i love every second that i get to spend with her.  alli and i have the horrid habit of being a little irreverent in church and i even though we are 21 and 18 years old my mom still threatens to separate us!  man, i love my sister!

skyping saves

what would i ever do without you? haha probably die

long distance relationships are so tough.   on the sitcom "how i met your mother" ted says it all when he explains long distance relationships as "an awful idea".  haha so true, don't get me wrong though, i am the luckiest girl in the world to be dating JC but i know that we both wish salt lake city, ut and parma, id were MUCH closer than 5 hours away.

i am a big time talker.... i love phone calls, texting, you name it but one of the ways of communicating that i truly love is skype.  i love seeing faces and skyping doesn't use up my minutes on my cell phone, my mom loves that aspect since we share the minutes! :)

J in his little baby blanket :)

one night when we were talking, JC just snuggled up in his little baby blanket and i just had to take a picture of him!  we will usually talk to each other at night because we both work during the day and a lot of the times we will both be in our own covers miles and miles away, i love it  :)

man, i can't wait till summer!  i have started packing and everything!

wonderful weekend (from a while ago)

(i'm a little late on posting this but i had to finish my post!  i have been so stinkin' busy with work and everything this little guy got thrown to the back burner but here we go....)

JC came up for my birthday after much trial and tribulation and i am so happy that he did!  we had such a blast together and he honestly made my 21st birthday my best ever!

we had a weekend full of firsts for J and it was so fun!  JC fed calves for the first time,

J had never been to a zoo so i took him to good ol' zoo boise,

at the zoo i made him do everything like a little kid because he had to have a legit zoo experience..i don't think he was to thrilled having to crawl into the little bubbles to see the prairie dogs but he still did it with a smile!

JC and I also had a weekend full of great eating!!! JC had his first scotch and soda, JC ate at Orphan Annie's (one of my family's favorite places to eat) for the first time, we had cobbler for dessert on Sunday, and we were stuffed for most of the weekend!

for a second time, i had the missionaries serving in our ward way excited!! we had a stake wide fast for missionary work and of course the weekend J was up, he forgot his church pants and it was believed that he was an investigator!  i do have to admit he makes his white shirt, houndstooth print tie, dress shoes, and distressed jeans look great!  :)

Salt Lake is way too far away from Parma
