memorial day and a weekend full of memories!

i'm a little late on this update but i have been so dang busy with school!  it's crazy!  this past week i finished all of my prerequisite work for student teaching and i felt like every one of my teachers decided this would be a great week to pile up all the work!  but i made it through thank goodness!  

for this past memorial day weekend i got to go down to salt lake city with j and we had so much fun!  the weekend went far too fast but that's how it always goes it feels like!  so not fair!  here are some of the great memories we made over the weekend:

- we had the BEST sushi at tona's in ogden!! 

-we had great company there as well, my cousin Jana and her boyfriend Jason came with us!! 

we had fun eating salmon, fish eggs, philly sushi, and sunburn sushi!  and our waitress had crazy good hearing!   :)

-J and i played a ton of tennis :) we played at East High's courts in salt lake where High School Musical was filmed!  Alli was super jealous when i told her i saw Zac Efron ;)  J's dad also hit me with a tennis ball in the back of the armpit, haha don't ask me how i managed to get hit there because i'm still amazed

another good story to go along with playing tennis is the keys accidentally got locked in JC's trunk!  J stuck a hanger through the driver side window, pushed the manual window opener and pushed the window down!  then Catherine climbed in the trunk and found the keys!  I was so impressed!!! 

-one night J's Grandma Mackley stayed up with all of us and played some dominoes!  I actually won by 3 points and J's grandma is so cute!! She gets so fired up!!! It was a great night of games!

-J's family goes to a Spanish speaking ward in Salt Lake and usually when I got with them I just kinda sit and chill there.  But this time I got to have a translator in sacrament meeting!  I kinda felt goofy with the little headset on but it was good to actually know what they were saying. :)

-for sunday dinner J's mom made my favorite meal without even knowing!  ham and overnight potatoes!!! YUM!

-on memorial day we had a little get together with J's mom side of the family at a little campground up in the mountains... it was a little chilly but so much fun!

-on the way back to rexburg, we stopped and had in-n-out :) it was sooo good!  a great way to end a perfect weekend!
